The basic Pyronix Enforcer v11 wireless security system is a great place to start for most homes. However there maybe additional rooms or windows that you feel are vulnerable or possibly a garage, shed or even your car on the drive that you would also like to have covered by your wireless security system. The following are the types of devices that you can have added when your wireless burglar alarm system is installed or at a later date, it’s a wireless security system so it’s easy to add devices at anytime.
Wireless Magnetic Door or Window Contact
The Pyronix wireless magnetic contact is a very small and compact device and can even be fitted within the frame of some uPVC and composite doors and windows. Basically the magnet holds the switch in a closed position in the main wireless unit and as the door or window is opened the magnet moves away, the switch opens and if the wireless security system is set then the alarm is triggered. Available in white, brown and anthracite grey to blend in with the frame.
Also available is an external version suitable for fitting on garden gates.
Wireless Passive Infra Red Detector
The most common type of wireless alarm system detector is the Passive Infra Red. The PIR is fitted in the corner of a room and it then covers the whole room with an invisible detection pattern of beams. If there is any detection of infra red radiation, (the heat given off a living thing), crossing the invisible detection beams then a signal is sent back to the control panel and if the wireless alarm system is set then the alarm is triggered. If you have pets then a ‘Pet Friendly’ version is available and using the intelligent sensor technology it can identify the difference between your prized pet and an intruder up to a weight of about 20Kg.
Wireless Dual Technology Detector
The wireless Dual Technology or Dual Tec detector is similar to the wireless passive infra red detector but also has the addition of microwave detection as well and needs the PIR and Microwave parts to detect simultaneously to send an alarm signal to the Enforcer v11 control panel. These are most commonly used in conservatories and garages where the PIR maybe triggered by extremes of temperature or sunlight. The microwave part is immune to temperature extremes and sunlight. If you have pets then a ‘Pet Friendly’ version is available and using the intelligent sensor technology it can identify the difference between your prized pet and an intruder up to a weight of about 20Kg.
Wireless Shock Detector
The Pyronix wireless shock detector is a small and compact device and can even be fitted within the frame of some uPVC and composite doors and windows. Basically the detector picks up the vibrations caused by an attempt to force a window or door open or smash the glass and if the wireless security system is set then the alarm is triggered. Sensitivity is adjustable so the window cleaner or hailstone shouldn’t trigger an alarm. Available in white, brown and anthracite to blend in with the frame.
Wireless Shock and Contact Combined Detector
The Pyronix wireless shock detector and combined magnetic contact is as it says on the tin, both type of detector combined into a single unit. This wireless intrusion detector is useful for places like a side or rear garage door or a back door. If the door is left unlocked and an intruder tries the handle and the door opens it will trigger the Pyronix wireless alarm system from the magnetic contact detector. If the door is locked and an intruder tries to break a window or force the door then the wireless shock detector will trigger the alarm. This unit is not recommended for use on a front door due to door knockers and letterboxes causing shock vibrations and so triggering false alarms. Available in white, brown and anthracite grey to blend in with the frame.
Remote Keyfob
The Pyronix wireless remote keyfob can be used up to about 150m from the Enforcer v11 control panel to arm and disarm the system, part set the system, trigger an emergency panic alarm and check the status of the wireless security system. To control the wireless alarm system when away from home and out of range of the wireless keyfob you will need to use the mobile app Home Control
Wireless Remote Keypad
The Pyronix wireless remote keypad is a small keypad that can be used to arm and disarm the wireless security system in other locations away from the main Enforcer v11 control panel. Useful if you want to use the front and back door or locate one on the landing for convenience in the evening or during the night. This smart keypad will do everything the main control panel but is much smaller.
Proximity Tags
The Pyronix proximity tag can be used instead of a digital code to arm and disarm the system. Simply present the tag to the proximity tag reader at the control panel or the remote keypad and the system will arm or disarm accordingly. Useful if you can’t remember the code number or to give a cleaner to be able to use the wireless alarm system without them needing to know your own code.
Wireless Sounder
Mimicking the tones of the control panel the plug in Pyronix wireless sounder replicates the chime, entry/exit, alarm, fire and even PA tones of the Enforcer v11 wireless control panel to keep the user completely aware of any system activity while they’re onsite. Distribute the sound evenly across the property to grab attention and deliver total security with total awareness.
The in-built bright courtesy light of the wireless sounder will provide visual indication of system activity; illuminating the entrance as the user enters/exits, strobing in the event of an alarm activation, slow flashing for a chime and illuminating constantly as a safety light in the event of a fire. This can also be useful for deaf or hard of hearing users.
In the event of a mains power fail, the wireless sounder’s bright courtesy light will illuminate for up to 30 minutes. So, in the event of a power outage the wireless sounder will provide a comforting light for the user; resetting back to normal operation as soon as the power is restored.
Volumes can be set in five increments and the bright courtesy light can even be activated or deactivated to suit. It’s completely configurable.
Car Defender
The shock and tilt accelerometer device for vehicle security.
Working in conjunction with existing Pyronix systems, the CarDefender is a three-axis accelerometer device recommended for vehicle security. With three configurable detection modes, it can be set to trigger for shock only, tilt only, or if either shock or tilt is detected. The device comes with a specially designed, brightly-coloured silicone rubber mount, allowing users to strap it to a vehicle’s steering wheel for reliability and visual deterrence. Alternatively, the device can be secured with the included 3M tape for a wide variety of use cases.
